What is Piction Health?

Piction Health™ is a virtual-first dermatology clinic delivering high quality care for patients with skin concerns. We use cutting edge technology and automation coupled with a care team of board certified dermatologists and nurse practitioners to provide patients with an accelerated experience from initial assessment to resolution and follow up.

Because average wait-times for seeing a dermatologist can take several months according to the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, our mission is to provide care to people who need expert dermatology care in a much more timely manner, usually within 48 hours.

How does online dermatology work?

More than 80% of skin conditions can be handled with an online consult and images, and if needed, we will coordinate an in-person visit near you!

Do you take insurance?

Yes, we accept insurance and have simple, low cost out of pocket care if you'd rather not use it. We currently accept Aetna, Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield (Elevance), United Healthcare, ConnectiCare, Emblem, and others! You can use your HSA or FSA card too.

What states are you currently active in?

We are currently accepting patients in Florida, Massachusetts, Washington, New Hampshire and Connecticut!

Do dermatologists treat all skin conditions?

Dermatologists are skin experts who handle a wide range of medical conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails. They offer medical treatments for various issues, from common problems like acne to more serious conditions such as skin cancer. Many dermatology practices provide both medical and cosmetic services, addressing concerns like hair loss, sun damaged skin, and brown spots. While they treat most skin-related issues, some may specialize in specific areas like pediatric dermatology or focus on particular procedures such as Mohs surgery for skin cancer.

What are four common skin problems?

Four common skin problems that dermatologists frequently treat include:
Acne: A widespread condition affecting many people, especially teenagers and young adults.
Eczema: A chronic inflammatory skin condition that causes itching and redness.
Psoriasis: An autoimmune disorder resulting in scaly, itchy patches on the skin.
Rosacea: A condition characterized by facial redness and sometimes small, pus-filled bumps.

Dermatologists offer various treatment options for these and other skin issues, ranging from topicals to advanced therapies like laser treatments. They also provide guidance on skin care routines and lifestyle changes to help manage these conditions effectively. Whether you're dealing with poison ivy, broken blood vessels, or more complex skin concerns, a dermatologist can help create a tailored approach to improve your skin health and overall well-being.
